The Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) increased 0.3% on a seasonally adjusted basis in December, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Over the last 12 months, the all items index increased 2.7% before seasonal adjustment.

The number of help wanted online ads posted in Oregon totaled 96,200 in November 2025. The number of ads posted for the first time (new ads) decreased by 1,540 in Oregon in November.

The number of job openings was little changed at 7.1 million in November, the BLS reported. Over the month, hires were little changed and total separations were unchanged at 5.1 million each. Within separations, both quits, and layoffs and discharges were little changed.

In November, Oregon’s seasonally adjusted nonfarm payroll employment rose by 1,600 jobs, following a loss of 2,000 jobs in October. Oregon’s unemployment rate was 5.2% in November and 5.2% in September. (1/2)

On July 1st, Oregon’s minimum wage increased across the state. In 2024, there were 4,307 jobs paying $14.70 or less and 2,372 jobs paying between the 2024 and 2025 minimum wage across Northwest Oregon.
