It’s just really nice to get hugs and warmth from people. It’s not always like that in the music business. But it is with this band.

Their new LD/VD complimented the sound and told me that he’d heard the show a lot of times with a bunch of different engineers and tonight was one of, if not the best sounding show. Awwwwwwwww god damn it. This is why sound has my heart. Not cuz of the compliments but maybe?

TWS has done a couple tours since I was out with them last. It’s always a bit sad when a band doesn’t take you out with them again, and I kinda figured that they didn’t have the budget for a FOH so I wasn’t upset of course.

I qualified for free tuition & an enrollment fee waiver for the LA Community College District. I’m manifesting enough work so I can pay my bills & focus on getting through the rest of the lower division classes for my BA for freeeeeee as quickly as possible.

Still gonna try and see if any school will accept any credits from my AAA degree but I’m likely to start taking a/some starter classes maybe as soon as Summer. I don’t qualify for grants but I have my Segal award still. Here’s hoping I can book enough freelance work to make this work for real

Considering that my AiS degree, even though it is actually a degree, is essentially toilet paper, I have been stubbornly against going back to school. Starting over from scratch doesn’t sound so bad if a class is less than $100 and I can take a class at any LA CC campus.

Finished 2022!! Woot. I’m all caught up now

It is totally nuts that the government doesn’t just tell us what we owe or send a refund every year. Especially since owing the IRS never goes away, but if they owe you, you have limited time to claim your refund!

I’m feeling really good about it! I did get interrupted in productivity because I ran out of printer paper… but now I’m on track to mail out my 2023 taxes to the IRS & CA… then I’m tackling 2022. It’s all gloomy outside so I don’t feel like I’m missing out on any fun sunny adventures.

Next on the agenda, 2022. But not til tomorrow, I’m burnt and forgot to eat.

By summer 2024, I was back to overworking myself and having zero balance. I fully forgot taxes existed. Occasionally I would remember but I thought it was only 2023 that I skipped. I put “tax 2023” on my to do list so many times. And today was the day I finally did it.
