We lived at Dodges Ferry, a coastal community between the Tasman Peninsula and Hobart. I'll never forget the sound of the helicopters flying overhead well into the early hours, transporting the injured to the RHH (including Martin Bryant himself)

Hopefully this nightmare will be over one day, and when that day comes, the US needs to ensure this never happens again by introducing new laws allowing a sitting President to be prosecuted for criminal activities, and preventing a convicted felon from being appointed in the first place
