My own mother called me a democrat like it was a bad word. It dripped with disgust like the first time she called me a f*****. 😒

How do you know where your music hallway is?

I just finished reading district guidelines on what to do if ICE officials come to remove students from my classroom.

I am thankful that I live in a safe haven state, and that I work for a district that is concerned first and foremost with protecting our students.

I also can’t stop crying.

It has been a crazy two weeks of tech, dress rehearsals, and performances from five different casts of Frozen Jr. all culminating with performances by my K-4 music students and my after school choir program. I am so thankful for my husband who has been so patient with me as I navigate the craziness!

I guess this is my first post here on Bluesky. I guess we will see if it continues to feel safer here.
