Got hundreds of dollars in care packages today from fellow teachers and staff and a ton of homemade notes and cards from students. Both current and past students contributed. And tomorrow the whole school is going to wear purple to show support for Pardner, who is now crying from love.

I was a minor Dolly fan until i was 30. Then I saw her live in Cleveland just bc a friend had tix. I'd have sneered if you'd told me I'd walk out a true believer ready to fight for her, but i did. And she's only grown in my estimation every yr since, as an artist and a person. And now I'm verklempt.
