but yeah i think all the 20% impact resistance increases and stuff are rarely worth the fuss, machine additions, and increased price of the fancier filaments. 3d prints aren't really high performance or consistent, poor layer adhesion from the draught of a door closing could easily eclipse that 20%

i use matte esun stuff most the time cuz its cheap, looks nice, and works well enough... and fillamentum extrafill for stuff i want to be tougher. i dunno if i'd explicitly recommend them, theres probably better options, but i stick with them to not have to change any settings

i'd just use PLA/ PLA+
from what ive seen myself and in videos, PLA+ tends to perform equivalently or better than ABS in most metrics (especially smell) except ease of bonding/ solvent welding.
afaik the stuff about PLA being overly brittle was long in the past, but it might depend on the brand.

a couple of the towns around me were changed to be entirely 20mph zones, bumps and all, which is potentially nice. but it still doesnt matter since i figure its more about perceived status than being inconvenient, so the odd guy will still just try to kill you

also important to give things a final tighten when they're hot enough for the plastic inside to be molten. it's all soft brass and aluminium though so you can strip the threads if you go too hard

also if the heater block isnt screwed onto the heat break enough, so theres a gap between the nozzle and the heatbreak inside the heat block when the nozzle bottoms against the heater block.
as in there should be a gap between the hex part of the nozzle and the heat block, anything more than none

ive been using the Proshot app, which is mediocre, but turning off enhancements just reveals how bad the cameras on at least my phone are. i think the default app stacks exposures to deal with edge softness and stuff, which is fine, but its criminal adding fake detail to bricks and bushes and stuff

i use xp2 so i only have to keep track of the one set of chemicals, and i like colour, but it's nice that it's compatible with digital ice dust removal
