I think some people still think this is the same team that went to the ECF 2 out of 3 years. On paper yeah we still have a bunch of those players but this team is nowhere near that team as far as skill will and desire go. They have 1 actual top 6 line and the rest are a collection of bottom 6ers.

Yeah I agree it wasn’t exclusive to just those scouts. Outside of Leetch and Kreider what non goalie picks have really hit. I don’t count Miller cause he found his game elsewhere and came back. I’m having a hard time really remembering a home run draft pick that wasn’t a goalie.

Listen after Lias and Krav I have 0 faith in the scouting. They know how to evaluate goalie talent and that’s about where it ends.

I honestly think we just got lucky at the wrong time. Neither one of Laf or Kakko were ever gonna be up there with Mack, Sid, McDavid etc.
Had we got Hughes instead of Kakko maybe it’s different but maybe not cause I don’t think he has played a full season yet.

I kind of almost expected them to be at least a bit better defensively under Sully but idk sometimes I feel like Bread just isn’t as dynamic as he was offensively. Some games he just seems to float at least to the naked eye. Idk I could just be over being mediocre so I’m getting nit picky.

Does it seem like Bread is mailing it in to you? Like some times watching him I get the feeling that he knows he’s not staying so he doesn’t give a shit.

Same. I turned off Saturdays game at 3-0 and refused to turn back on even after they tied cause I just knew the second I turned it back on they would make it worse.

Idk about you but I have not felt like they could win any game since the first like 6 games of the season. They showed who they were going to be and it’s obvious Drury is gonna be able to do shit so 0 faith in them making playoffs this year or next. There are no free agents coming.
