US solar generation to jump 46% in 2 years, wind up 12% - while coal drops 9.6%. Why? 💰 Economics. Solar/wind are 2-3x cheaper than fossil fuels and can be built in under a year vs. several years for gas plants. Not ideology - just cheaper, faster economics at work.

Senate Bill 52 gave county commissioners the power to establish “exclusion zones”, areas where wind and solar projects are prohibited. This added restrictions and places an unfair burden on renewable energy development, while fossil fuel projects remain largely unaffected.

After many months of grassroots organizing in Morrow County, last night's packed public hearing showed our momentum is growing. And last week the Ohio Power Siting Board issued a favorable staff report for Crossroads Solar - a huge step forward for $285,000+ in annual school revenue and 180 jobs.

After many months of grassroots organizing in Morrow County, last night's packed public hearing showed our momentum is growing. And last week the Ohio Power Siting Board issued a favorable staff report for Crossroads Solar - a huge step forward for $285,000+ in annual school revenue and 180 jobs.
Our canvassers were in Cleveland neighborhoods near the steel mill this week, having real conversations with residents about how industrial pollution impacts their daily lives. These face-to-face discussions help us understand what's at stake for families living in the shadow of heavy industry.

Last June, Adam knocked on a door to talk solar. She was a 1 out of 10 in favor. Adam explained farmers were being denied rights to their own land. "If you don't have property rights, what do we have?" she replied. She rated herself as a 10 and wrote a letter. This is canvassing. Thank you, Adam. 💚
