I eventually sent those tapes to my two nephews, and they, both in their 30s now, became the hugest Simpsons fans. They wore those tapes out. I eventually started buying the German DVDs with both language tracks. The German translations are so well done.

I recently found this list I made around the year 2000 when I lived in Germany. I had many VHS tapes of Simpsons episodes I had taped backed home and put into order without the commercials with a 2nd VCR. I showed many of the eps to my German university students for cultural studies purposes.
