The inhumanity and aggression of ICE started in 2003, when it was created. It all got worse from there. We don't fix this brutal system by getting shithead and chief out of office, we need to have a long memory on the machine he is ramping up and understand when it built.

Everyone should listen to NPR's Throughline. The most recent series was focusing on how LONG migrant detention and deportations have been going on, where the dehumanization started, and paints a history of public apathy that explains this current moment that didn't begin now or in 2016.
