Yeah, and even the switch from forums to Reddit’s algorithm that shows rank threads based on activity+date still feels like it tries to push too much content at once.

At least with forums people would be inclined to file similar discussion in long-running threads compared to 50 separate posts.

Bring 👏 back 👏 character 👏 to 👏 interior 👏 design

(I don't see what's so appealing with the bland grey/vinyl plank style that everyone's going for now)

It's crazy. I'm a software dev, I'm in a pretty privileged position, and even I find it difficult to afford buying, with rent feeling unnecessarily high. I feel bad for service workers who make a lot less. Their thinking that a smidge more development will crater the housing market is absurd.

Ro Khanna is an opportunist.

Anecdote: A low-info-voter close-relative happily voted for Trump in '24. It wasn't until a month or two ago that the Epstein/Trump thing sunk in and it greatly motivated them to vote for a Dem for the first time since the 90s -- enthuseastically voting for Spanberger!

It’s insane how much reluctance there is to choose the simple, straightforward option. “We got rid of the creep because he’s a rapist and associates with rapists” is much easier to explain at the proverbial “kitchen table” than “here’s our 87D chess strategy to do literally everything else first”

I've been complaining about this for quite some time. I'm glad others are noticing this as well.

No, he's playing games as usual. Him or Kaine alternate on who's making the controversial vote.
November 10, 2025 at 1:45 AM
They alternate who's taking the lousy vote pretty regularly this session. When Kaine takes the controversial vote, Warner steps back, and vice versa.
November 10, 2025 at 1:42 AM
Something to note: It seems that Kaine and Warner seem to alternate who's making the controversial votes, so Virginia always has 1 Dem vote going to something incredibly lousy.

Virginia pulls off an impressive swing in the state legislature, including a bunch of people (+republicans!) who are fed up with Republican leadership.

... and you're delivering the same leadership that people *just* voted against.

Kaine and Warner seem to rotate who votes for lousy policy, ensuring at least one vote from VA goes to something stupid. Unfortunately Kaine’s office isn’t accepting any messages right now.
