I usually think of CT as being part of new england (in general, not related to fighting games), and based on a little bit of research it seems like that is usually the consensus. Also the logo for the site includes them haha. In terms of FGC, they do feel like a distinct but related scene

I think you could link me for "retro" brackets and maybe tamn for snk stuff. In general, it seems rally hard to keep the calendar up to date so I'm not sure how much utility it has vs a list of things that happen regularly together with links to see the details about those events.

I'm absurdly lucky to be in the situation I'm in, but I'm pretty happy with the balance I've struck. One week a month of 3s and then the rest of the time getting into something new (+ sms and mbaacc occasionally). A month feels like enough to get a feel for the game while still keeping it fresh.
