in every department that isn't "holding the controller to make the game advance" it is a revelation. Unfortunately I do not believe you can bifurcate video games in that way. A game that is bad to play is not rendered Good by the presence of world-class writing.

sadie & I finished the true end of Silent Hill f last night. after four playthroughs I have learned to make the combat something approximating "fun" in my head, but it is not a Shadow Labyrinth situation where a seemingly simple, obtuse thing gives way to complexity. It really is just bad dark souls
