Fair point, altho the walkways in the box box do allow views of the house you wouldn’t normally see (and also of the surrounding countryside). It also contains a sheltered rooftop terrace cafe, so it adds a lot of amenity. I can see why it might be popular with visitors.

Well, yes. And exploring the likes of MK Gallery and Harlow’s amazing public sculpture strikes me as a swift and imaginative way to the heart. Is Rodin not romantic? Is Frink not a kindler of frisson? Far better than many more clichéd options.

Ha! This parallels my introduction to Marcel Duchamp, whose wife apparently glued his chess pieces to the board because he was playing so much on their honeymoon.
