The cemeteries in New Orleans aren't like usual graves; they're often crypts. When the water level would rise due to heavy rains or flooding, buried bodies and caskets would come up to the surface, which was precisely what nobody wanted. Switching to crypts kept the deceased in place.

I went and bought two packages of lettuce leaf just so we can have green veggies when we want them. I'm only half joking that everything in this city is deep fried.

Today we walked around the French Quarter. I had hoped to see the drum circle at Congo Square, but it was too cold. We went to the Gumbo Shop for an amazing meal, then I zipped up to Lafitte's In Exile for a quick drink or two while Beemer returned to the hotel since his back hurt.

We spent yesterday hitting the Audubon Aquarium and Insectarium yesterday as Beemer Tectonic had been there many years ago. I had been to see it on our first trip here while he was at his conference, but I'm always happy to see it again.

This is probably my favorite bit of subtle humor in Metroid Prime 4. Where the AF would you get a banana that fresh? Forget the architecture and psychic stuff, THIS is the real mystery.
