Well, that’s one way of putting it!

Tipping is out of control in Canada and you’ll get asked to tip on everything from retail purchases to eateries where you have to pick up your own food/clear your own dishes. Unless you’re offering restaurant-level service you’re not getting a tip. Pay your workers fairly and stop fleecing customers

Legitimately an open secret for decades and one of the biggest reasons why I despise “tipping” culture.

Anyone who’s worked in food/hospitality has a story where a boss took their tips. It’s theft of the worker’s wages and the customer’s cash, and needs to be replaced with a fair market pay rate
