Not just in terms of personality but half the point of the character is that he's not ethnically Nilfgaardian, he's a lowly conscript who finally finds meaning in a cause. He's insignificant! That's why Geralt spares him! Making him an important general is absolutely *insane*

The Netflix Witcher change that ABSOLUTELY perplexes me the most is how they handle Cahir. Hes unrecognizable in every single aspect that I'm still speechless at it. I genuinely see no logistical way for them to give him his book plotline. It's full on "just rename him" territory
