Well I bet that’s what mods are for. At least for PC players. I wish there was a way for console players to get these mods.

@ianflynnbkc.bsky.social I think it would also be interesting if Eggman finds out why his dad raised him the way he did, and why he had become so attached to Maria (due to those letters, she probably would have been adopted by him if she ever got cured), and maybe eventually forgive his father.

@ianflynnbkc.bsky.social And I wouldn’t be surprised if Eggman’s dad kept writing letters to Maria after Maria’s parents had stopped writing to her due to ‘being busy with the new baby’, in order to try to make up for his brother abandoning her, based on how he talked about Maria after she died.

@ianflynnbkc.bsky.social And I wouldn’t be surprised if Eggman’s dad kept writing letters to Maria after Maria’s parents had stopped writing to her due to ‘being busy with the new baby’, in order to try to make up for his brother abandoning her, based on how he talked about Maria after she died.
@ianflynnbkc.bsky.social And perhaps Eggman’s dad had an opposite reaction to that upbringing under Gerald, where he tried not to place any expectations on Eggman, and that had it’s own unintended negative consequences on Eggman.

@ianflynnbkc.bsky.social Maybe in a separate hidden journal of Gerald’s that focuses more on his private life, Gerald can’t help but wonder if it was his fault if Maria’s father turned out to be the kind of father who would abandon his daughter when she didn’t fulfill his expectations of her?
