OKC has some gorgeous cycling trails. They’ve done some work since I last got them. Just about 2 miles left before we can skip roads almost entirely.

Just out of frame, a man judges me for taking a picture of my bike at a stop with the Devon tower/eye of Sauron watching The Hefner Lighthouse is reflected in the nearly-calm Lake Hefner around noon before the winds picked up An overweight, 40-something man wearing a bright, please-don’t-run-over-me cycling kit who hadn’t cycled in 6 weeks pretends he isn’t already dying at mile 8 of 48. Behind him a new bit of trail goes under the 235/44 exchange. Neat! About two miles ahead the trail ends, dumping you out on 50th, which sucks A long, metal bridge connects the trail to a city park(Zach D Taylor Park). Cool! New!
