imo, do NOT underestimate fact we are only 1 year in and GOP/RW/TRUMP are already literally seeking ways to deem "gender ideology" (iow trans people existing) and ANTIFA (general belief fascism is BAD) as literal terrorism. nothing "stupid" about it, they are testing for loopholes..and finding some

imo it's also critical to remind ppl, esp dems, actual facts do NOT really justify outright bans on trans people in sports..the previous NCAA/IOC etc guidelines were *already the MOST fact-based ever. Meaning this was never about fairness/facts/sports etc, but exclusion so NO, we CANNOT concede here

another example is Trump admin is looking into, such as through trade laws/Federal Trade Commission and various other means to try and have ALL GAC for ALL ages deemed a "fraudulent medical practice" and "abuse/mutilation". It'd be a backdoor national ban but they haven't figured out if they can yet

I think people fundamentally underestimate how far fundamentalist Christians are willing to go..These sociopathic fascists view literally everything (econ/edu/healthcare/actual ppl/KIDS etc) as worth sacrificing if making steps toward Christian (esp white) nationalism..and they call it "righteous".

I genuinely believe a *HUGE* proportion of this anti-trans/nb moral panic is due to fact very MANY men find trans/nb etc attractive and due to absurd social norms/training, simply can't process those feelings AND they get rewarded to bully object of their own desire..so trans ppl end up scapegoated

imo, despite bigots claims, we are at point most basic GAC is fairly standardized, risks/benefits known, and no need for all that much specialization nor to remain attached to big hospitals taking fed funds. I think it's time Drs/allies/trans etc create independent GAC networks outside big hospitals

there was a time trans healthcare was less understood and a need to be set in large hospitals often running clinical trials..today basic GAC is fairly standardized and doesn't require so much specialization. imo, it's time docs/allies create GAC networks outside big hospitals taking federal funds

actually increasingly YES there are absolutely laws which are basically forcing trans people to constantly "out" themselves to their bosses, from laws restricting updating ID to reflect how people actually live/present to constant "restroom" bans where trans have to out themselves or break law etc..

my point there was if a team of truly independent/impartial/objective experts do genuinely unbiased review/critique of Cass it's basically impossible they conclude Cass is anything other than deeply biased/politically tinged and hugely methodologically flawed..so doubt any conclude support for Cass

I doubt it. while critiques point out areas Cass review at least appeared to be neutral/have valid points, the simple truth is it is basically impossible to be impartial/neutral/independent and review/critique Cass and not conclude it was blatantly biased political hitjob with predetermined results.

without question they've definitely had legal threats to help drive this, imo it's not an excuse for this cowardly decision. I'm sorry to say, but it is CIS people who need to start sharing the pain transphobes are intent on causing and that only happens when allies actually *fight* VS hide/run away
