My grandparents immigrated here 100 yrs ago.
Mom and sisters were regularly targeted by whites in our town.
They told stories about it.
As late as the '70s, different guys I dated remarked on how their parents didn't want them dating me an Italian- Catholic.
50 yrs later all my cousins are maga.

I can tell you from experience- NONE!
Husband runs a landscaping business and 80% of the crew are H2B workers.
That means when he advertised the openings, they were offered to American citizens FIRST
and guess what?
Yeah, no US workers want to labor in the cold or heat for $25/hr.

The only thing that helps me is a constant focus on History. I read everything I can get my hands on, starting with Heather Cox Richardson in the am.
Learning about the various accounts of resistance over the course of time is reassuring.

The only thing that helps me is a constant focus on History. I read everything I can get my hands on, starting with Heather Cox Richardson in the am.
