Clever Gift Wrap Ideas for Our Readers It's easy to transform an every day parcel into an exciting present when you've got the help of colourful BEAR GIFT WRAP TAPE. What's more, it makes gift wrapping fun. First, of course, you've got to have a neat parcel on which to get to work, and if you've ever envied the skill of a good shop assistant wrapping a parcel, here's how to set about it. Place the unwrapped box or article on a piece of wrapping making sure that the latter will fit with an overlap of paper around the box an inch or so; at the same time be sure that it is long enough to cover the ends. Then fold the wrapping paper around the box and seal the centre seam with a little transparent Bear Tape. Then fold and seal each end. (You'll find, by the way, that a letter opener or knife will help to make neat creases and end folds.) Now the package is ready for decorating. And this decorating is the really important part of Christmas packaging. What about a candy stripe design? All you do is take two colours of Bear Gift Wrap Tape and apply them as shown. You end the strips, of course, underneath the package. Here's another idea for using two or more colours. Apply them in a criss-cross design as illus- trated, For added effect you can cut the tape ends at an angle with a razor blade. Round parcels are usually awk- ward to wrap attractively, but here's how you can overcome any difficulties on that score. Get a sheet of "Cellophane" and, turn- ing it over, place fancy patterned tape along each edge of the re- verse side. Then place your round parcel in the centre of the "cello- phane sheet and gather the Cellophane at the top of the box, making sure that the sides are evenly pleated. Hold the gathered section together ...
