I have reasons for using statcast informed projection systems but I’ve never been under the impression that clear improvement in accuracy should be listed as one of them.

I think that’s correct but it also applies pretty broadly across political belief. It might be the core element of the moment, strong negative polarization and an unwillingness to rigorously develop core beliefs
