Yeah, I liked seeing '70s Houston and the Astrodome near/at its presumed conception. Weird as shit though, emphasis on the shit.

Gil Faizon and George St Geegland would approve.

Six weeks was the movie for you, I presume?
December 6, 2025 at 1:27 AM
Finnegan Begin Again? 47 times? How?
December 6, 2025 at 1:04 AM
Who thought Six Weeks needed to air 41 times???
December 6, 2025 at 12:56 AM
For some of these to have played 38+ times and to have left so little a mark is shocking. I’ve never heard of so many of them.
Second Thoughts?
King of the Mountain?
The Four Seasons?
Threshold?
Shipwreck?
Kiss Me Goodbye has STARS so that’s AI
Also weird how many of these never played after 1987

Yeah, when someone sees that some rando named Rick Porcello won a Cy Young when they slip into our timeline in 2058, they’ll have the same reaction to him that I did to John Denny though.

But yeah, Hentgen was on pace for a 4+ fWAR 1994, which would’ve been 3 of 4 seasons at roughly 4 or more wins. Rick Porcello is in the mix for this century. Might be closer to most aberrant winner than anyone else in the non-Dickey camp.

Steve Carlton had a losing record in what should have been his 5th and final NL CY winning campaign.

That is, of course, granting the premise that John Denny actually EXISTED, which I have yet to be convinced of.
December 3, 2025 at 11:03 PM
Denny basically had one completely aberrant 5.8 fWAR season at 30 that stood out amongst a career populated entirely by sub-3.0 fWAR seasons. He was hurt by a lack of health in his 20s and in ‘83 had a preposterous 0.33 K/9 that helped him get to 19 wins while his vastly superior teammate (cont’d)

I oddly get much more down when I flip over to Threads, which is just a rage bait incubator.

He shredded with Manassas.
December 3, 2025 at 7:57 PM
Oh, who could forget the Davises Storm and Mark?
