She'll probably get her event in February or March when the main story picks up again. They'll probably use some lame excuse like wanting to keep her event in line with the story and can't do it until the Commander returns to the Ark.

Same. I'm glad I slept through it. It had nothing that interested me and they didn't even say anything about Anis' Overspec.

It's incredibly overblown. Of the multiple npc's you meet, most of them only talk when you're in camp with them. Miles is the only one who talks over the radio and he only does that on occasion. The complaint about the desert is also dumb because the game says why it's like that if you pay attention

Don't forget an excellent grandpa! I agree though, I love how they set him up as an antagonist then steadily revealed that he's a sweet old man with a similar mentality towards magic as Frieren.
