The problem for Arraez that he's below MLB average in basically every other baseball skill, and there's not much sign he's getting any better. So it's more a case of "valuing the sum total of a player's contributions rather than a single skill".

You're not gonna hear bold political statements out of most of the NHL's Russian players. (The ones who aren't actively Putinists are worried about what would happen to their families.) Unless you count "refusal to participate in Pride Night", in which case you will get that from the Russians.

He should have, but the ideology/emotionalism gets in the way. He ran very publicly on vengeance, (1) which he really wants but also (2) you can't run on that, but then tell your whipped up fans to sit around while you prepare.

Given both the Electoral College & Congress (you need a majority to govern, not just a plurality) are in the Constitution... exactly how does one expect to fix that given the GOP can and will easily thwart any proposed amendments

It would take 20 in the Senate, and they won't because they'd be set on fire by their own voters, and they'd also have no one to hang out with or take their calls afterwards

He definitely does. It's just that he's got such a long way yet to go. He has to keep up his pace, because of Bonds' late career surge, and he really does have to play until about 40-42.
Personally, I do think Soto will play that long (assuming he stays healthy.)

Soto is about 1650 walks behind Bonds. If he actually plays out his Mets contract... and especially if he plays into his 40s, it's within the realm of possibility.

I expected the Immaculate Grid heroes to place real high. I think I use Edwin Jackson, Matt Stairs, Mike Mogan, Ron Villone and Octavio Dotel all the time....

The notable thing is that the team spent 75 years in Brooklyn, and Dazzy Vance is the only pitcher with a long and great career during that stretch.

True. I think we (as Nats fans) all thought Strasburg was the bigger risk, but that the team had to pay him. And now Stras can't hold a baseball or lift his arm above his head.

Rendon always gets hurt and isn't deeply in love with baseball... but I don't think any expected him to be *this* injured and not-in-love with baseball.
