Just finished Things… and really enjoyed it. We’re rationing ourselves on Small Prophets. Just two at a time I know it’s still going to be over far too soon.

Funnily enough my Dad was the opposite. I could tell him my music wasn’t playing and I could hear him fine but he’d still want me to take my earphones out. Didn’t believe you could have something stuck in your ear and still hear properly.

I’ll take calling them the Prime Minister only because Taoisearch is a title that many might not be familiar with, but Southern Ireland really grates on me and I’m English.

Cycling to work a while back I hit some ice and started sliding out, but it was so slow that I thought ‘I might actually have time to get off the bike before I hit the deck’ which I did. Unfortunately I got off and was still on the same patch of ice so slipped again and hit the ground.

Love this film. Full on Godzilla but also got some Jaws vibes which is never a bad thing. Still not got around to watching the B&W version.

I have a Bluetooth speaker that has a small flashing blue light when it’s connected, which means it’s essentially unusable in a dark room.

Had a couple pretty decent ones today. Ovenbottom barmcakes with cheddar cheese, peppered salami and tomato crisps (or chips to those of you in the US).

Had a fire drill where I used to work and no-one had made plans to assist the guy in a wheelchair. Turns out he could, just barely, walk and had to drag himself by the bannister down three flights of stairs.

You ever tried the kitchen foil way? Did it one time and quite liked it. No scissors or tape needed. Still manages to look Christmassy and a bit futuristic. And when we’d unwrapped prezzies Mum kept some of the bigger bits to help cook the dinner.

Never quite understood how he just casually carried on with a successful career after saying he used to go out hoping to find random Black men to murder.

Oh that’s a real shame. Only became aware of him quite recently when we saw his exhibition in Manchester. All wonderful stuff and we had the bonus of finding a friend of ours & her daughter in one of his pictures. She had no idea she was on display in a gallery.

Had a friend who’d drive me insane with texts like this. He’d be asking if I wanted to go to a gig but we’d be about 8 messages in before I’d find out who was actually playing. I’d know the date, time, venue, price. Everything but who it was.

Asked a couple at work what their fave films were. Her’s was Marked for Death and for him it was Dirty Dancing.
