Long ago USMC infantry, more recently survived cancer, lost a dog and gained a cat.
I feel like that was the root of hate for the new country back in the 90s and 2000s. The old songs were consistently emotional and felt sincere. The new stuff just felt empty and catchy.

I had so many great professors at UCLA and 3 community colleges that this doesn’t match my experiences. But, thy were my teachers, not my pals and I have no idea what most did in their off hours.
