Remember in GoT when the Red Woman gave birth to that horrifying spectral demon thing that killed Renly? It was so impactful precisely because until that point in the show we hadn't seen anything like that at all, so it was a genuinely mindblowing what the fuck moment. That's how magic should feel.

I am so tired of common fantasy tropes like "schools of magic" and the standard D&D version of magic where it's this mundane commonplace thing and everyone knows a few spells, etc. For me, magic should feel arcane, shocking and inexplicable - not something you just go to school to learn.

JK Rolwing deserves more shit for taking so much of the romance out of the cultural perception of wizards. Hearing the word "wizard" should conjure images of Saruman standing atop Orthanc bringing a storm on the Pass of Caradhras. Not boarding school children.

Nothing really stands out, just little
things like my ASC ruler is in Virgo and he has a Virgo stellium, his Sag Jupiter and I have Sag Sun/Mercury but none of that is very remarkable
