3) There are other compounds, like baeocystin for example, which changes the quality of the mushroom experience - a British liberty cap (my favourite!) is qualitatively different from cubensis strains

2) The word 'mushroom' feels like it's being forced out, because mushrooms are dirty, and grow in the darkness and thrive in shit...this doesn't fit into the clean/clinical nature of a therapeutic setting.

It's a shame that MAPS couldn't engage with any of the claims and instead made it into a weird partisan attack on @psymposia.bsky.social and @neselsd.bsky.social

The only thing for evil to succeed is for good people to do nothing...I would like to do more but have physical limitations. I have been writing articles, giving talks, hosting and appearing on podcasts talking about this very topic. What about you?

I mean, treating the wounds of soldiers literally and physically allows the war machine to continue...if everyone just succumbed to their injuries then there wouldn't be anyone left to fight the wars right?

I feel like this is something of a straw man argument...MDMA therapy without a call to end conflict perpetuates the war machine by finding a solution to the trauma. It's not a disorder when you have a human response to being in these awful situations

I think the overwhelming victims of war are not the veterans, and other people should have priority for treatment

Wouldn't a better focus be an end to ALL war, given their focus is largely on treating war-induced trauma? Just a wild thought, I know...
