No, legally this would only be binding on art that was uploaded after the date the new license agreement came in effect. Also I like your name. Good pun

Yeah, I'm fully aware of the technicalities of the standard UGC license. But the current terms of service explicitly mentions a permission to use all content for the training of their AI www

I havent read all of their new one but im sure "to edit, alter, or otherwise make changes to" is in there

My advice to them is always "send your essay and write an email to your professor saying you spent half the time rewriting the essay to pass some online AI checker. You would rather spend that time actually studying the subject they're taking the class for than studying how to avoid false positives"

...they had spend two hours writing a 2,000 word essay and another 2 hours rewriting it to see what online AI detectors thought and they still were only down to "20% chance its AI" and asked for *hints on how to make it flag less as AI*

I moderate a discord server for a popular game franchise with a lot of late gradeschoolers - highschoolers showing up and i keep hearing how their essays get returned because their teachers fed them to AI detectors and got a bad score so now like... Its awful but i saw someone complain that...

Well, you've stumbled upon a very funny legal issue for Twitter here (but really its an issue about people posting art without permission in the first place)
December 24, 2025 at 11:52 PM
Well, part of twitter ToS is giving them this permission when you post your art on there, unfortunately. It sucks

Bazzite is fedora based, .deb are built for debian based systems (its bith linux both it expects a lot of underlying systems that are different)

Anyway uh i found some discussion about this

does it work as su?
(i.e. run the following in a terminal)

su -c "flatpak run org.openRGB.openRGB"
December 24, 2025 at 10:48 AM
Which version of openrgb is this? Flatpak?

Its the holidays so im home and had to explain *today* to my brother than "no, ai generated music /cannot/ be profitable because according to latest rulings you dont own the rights to the music you "make" with an ai and as such legally cant sell it"
December 23, 2025 at 1:39 AM
I personally use the enviomental impact, and the plagiarism issues (etc) when arguing as well but i think the preface of "i will never care about something that no one cared to make" is a very strong baseline that you cant be easily pushed on.
December 23, 2025 at 1:37 AM
no i agree on the "datacentee water use" being the most *pressing* issue but i think saying it should be your /only/ argument is setting yourself up to fall (generating images on your own GPU takes about as much energy as running a video game for one minute, for example)
December 23, 2025 at 1:36 AM
My line starts with "if no one cared to make it then i dont care to see it" because even if all other technical issues (enviromental impact, cant draw hands, cant do math etc.) get ironed out its the one thing that'll never change i think.

Question: if that was solved, would you flip your stance and think AI was good then? Not trying to get you with some gotcha here, just asking if you've thought through your position from that angle
December 23, 2025 at 12:22 AM
maybe ill play smt4 instead
December 22, 2025 at 3:09 PM
the conclusion is obvious

Doom 2 is one of my favorite games*
(Not the vanilla maps but as an engine for playing other people's maps)

Doom 3 (the 360 one) is not very well liked no but a lot of that also comes from the gun feedback being very weak. The one i always think about is the shotgun sounds so wimpy
December 22, 2025 at 11:29 AM
whats your take on actual doom :o
