Yes! I'm learning a ton! But I'm also very tired. Two more days of talks and workshops and then I'll be truly cooked

This dude had a huge career illustrating jazz records in the 50s and 60s; these drawings of mother and child were in a graphic arts directory for swiss art directors but I can't find them reproduced online anywhere---but I think they're my favorite of his work

I just realized a lot of folks probably don't know or remember who Sterling Hundley is,

He was a very popular and award-winning American illustrator in the mid 2000's. His work was initially very influenced by the illustrator Gary Kelley, whose work was in turn very influenced by Tamara de Lempicka
illustration of a sailor carrying a woman in a white dress with flower in hair through a doorway, toward a dinner table, inside of an old boat illustration of a deep sea diver's helmet being removed. within we sea a glimpse of the diver being smooched by a green female

I'm still missing the Wanpakku June issue from 1987 but here's August and the calendar poster from that!

As promised: Mermaid Peach!

I have one more of these (December. Bc I'm also missing October) but I still need to scan and clean it. #PrincessPeach #Mario #Nintendo
An illustrated calendar poster featuring Mario in a swimsuit and Princess Peach as a mermaid.

nothing like "why aren't you listening to me" when it is the singular thing you are trying everything in your power to do

panel 1: fizz sitting at his computer. a voice comes from offscreen, but it's barely understandable: "can you fo-d th- la--dry t--i--" fizz presses the spacebar, pauses what he was doing and looks back: "wh-sorry what was that?"

panel 2: the voice retries, but even quieter : "i said ca- yo- --ld t-- la----" fizz turns around in his chair, smiling nervously : "...sorry i-i still didn't understand..."

panel 3: the voice goes "....." fizz, sweating, asks hesitantly : "...just a bit louder please?"

panel 4: the voice sighs : "nevermind." fizz looks away with a sad expression.

Depends on the store, they can range from high end & curated designer stuff to more general spots. but I would wager the starting prices are gonna be higher on average even at the cheaper stores. I have fun window shopping at the fancy ones though!

Luckily there are def other vintage stores near OSNYC to continue the tradition, but I think generally Manhattan shops are more expensive 😔

A view of a railway bridge in winter. Snow lies by the interestingly curved fence railings. A clear blue sky indicates dawn or dusk.

I've never seen 6 clams in a pile like this? Like they spawned twice? Usually they're more irregular when dropped yeah?
