I struggled a lot in 2024 due to the loss of my dad. It was my first time losing someone important to me and the way my dad died was tragic. I’ve done a lot of grief and trauma processing with my therapist, and I feel like I’ve taken major steps to healing from the loss.

That is all that I can think of. Please feel free to fill in with more or correct me on anything! 🏳️‍🌈

Asexual and aromantic folks belong in the community and need their voices amplified more.

There is no right way to look non-binary. Androgongy is not required (same applies to other non-binary identities).

Those that identify as pansexual, polysexual, and omnisexual are valid. Although the differences may seem small to you they are still distinct identities from bisexual (coming from someone who’s bisexual).

In line with those with disabilities. Pride fest events need to be more accessible. Interpreters, handicap accessibility, sensory friendly zones, bathrooms available, etc.

Autistic people along with disabled people as a whole have just as much of an understanding of their sexuality and gender identity as neurotypical and able-bodied people.

Disabled people belong in the community and their voices should be acknowledged. As an autistic person, I’ve heard people say that autistic people don’t know their identity because of their disability.

We need to recognize the intersectionality of race and ethnicity with LGBTQ+ identity. Race, ethnicities, and even religion can make a huge impact on how you recognize your queer identity, coming out, interacting with the community, etc.

There is no LGBT without the T. Black transgender women were in the forefront of the Stonewall Riots (Marsha P Johonson being a huge example). We need to continue to include and advocate for transgender people in the midst of transphobic legislation in the US and beyond.

Straight passing couples belong at pride and in the community for multiple reasons. One or both partners could be bisexual, pansexual, omnisexual, etc. One or both partners could be transgender or non-binary. One or both partners could be asexual or aromantic (queer platonic relationships).
