These are of a recent loss, it just detached from the claw bed.
Blue arrow was where it was attached, the purple arrow shows where there was a hole going all the way through. You can see how diseased the surface of the claw is.

NiNaw's in a 'sharing the big bed with Ally' phase, and she's being exceedingly generous.
Last night, she let Ally use her (NiNaw's) white quilt & she did move that front leg enough to let Ally on to the edge.
