absolutely bewildering!!! i wonder if it has something to do with the culture shift of people trying to emulate brands, where every aspect of themselves is easily marketable and understood... the research thats gonna come out about this phenomenom is gonna be depressing im sure

idk im now just imagining someone asking mucha or other beloved artist why draw all those humans when nobody cares about some random unspecified people

that's such an odd way to think!! to me it'd make as much sense to be "why would i want a random dog i dont know on my walls" or "random meal that i havent had myself"...

to me, the point of art isnt having the Random Guy in it (outside fanart maybe), the point is... the illustration as whole
