I find how the Yu-Gi-Oh anime world has progressed fascinating, like series 1 this is just a card game, maybe it's huge and has sweet paraphernalia but it's just a game and then it slowly takes over every aspect of life in progressive series.

It comes in fits and spurts, Salvatore, and Greenwood basically do whatever they want and Hasbro says yea. Everything else comes in waves of Hasbro wanting novels and lore to promote sales but they never make enough money to make them happy.
