Tax Paid

Well, this comment got me looking at this again. I'm certain it's a Cort. from the cortina. It might not be occidentalis though. I'm now thinking it might be anomalovelatus. It's doesn't have c. a. s telltale orange tinted center but the rest feels pretty right on.

Not always and these guys I didn't have the heart to dig deep under the duff but you can see the hint of a little rust colored cortina in some of the photos.

Bovril was a thing...for a long time...🤢

Life finds a way. Careful it doesn't find a way to end that cedar's life but that seems unlikely.

It's very hard to tell from the photo but is that an either vine or october glory maple growing up through that cedar?
