The next time you go on Bomani's show, can you guys talk about all these AFL dudes taking a couple of gap years to come stateside and punt in college football. Probably extends their eventual footy careers by years, multiple, on the back end.

Exactly. The Hall doesn’t want them in, but they also don’t want to be held directly responsible for keeping them out (perhaps to avoid a lawsuit since they’re not on the ineligible list?).

The HoF keeps coming up with ways to pass the buck to others in a way that will keep those two (and the others) out. Shortening from 15 yrs to 10 was obviously aimed at them, as were the new rules about VC eligibility (not to mention who they put on the committee).
