Dragon's Egg reminds me of Flux by Baxter, eerily similar premise!

Baxter also wrote Ring. String theory, wormholes, life in a star, a 5 million year plan to escape a dying universe. 1 of my 2 go-to hard sci-fi re-reads!

Game theory! Of course. I recall feeling a bit alienated by book one. But may merit revisitation.

Dune and Hyperion are favorites, but top of the heap for me is Gene Wolfe's Book of the New Sun.

It's a masterpiece of unreliable narration, dream-like. Just finished my second reading.

Went into Three Body Problem a few years ago and found I couldn't stay with it. Loved the premise though, what are you finding you love about it?
