Last month, Ashley Wolfe and Elena Saenz attended the official groundbreaking of KPPC’s (member of the Kanto Group) U.S. Arizona Plant in Casa Grande, representing #OmniTRAX and Sonoran Valley Rail. The milestone event marked more than the start of a new facility.

KPPC owns a site within Central Arizona Commerce Park (CAZCP) and will be a future rail customer of Sonoran Valley Rail. The new Arizona operation will manufacture ultra-high-purity chemicals for the semiconductor industry and is one of several major supplier investments shaping Casa Grande’s emergence as the “Silicon Desert.” OmniTRAX looks forward to continuing its work with state, regional, and local economic development partners on transformative projects like this that drive long-term growth and innovation. Earlier this year, former BNSF Railway executive Colby Tanner was named Co-CEO. Tanner assumes full company leadership effective January 1, 2026. We are grateful that Dean will continue to support OmniTRAX in his board assignment. “I’m extremely proud of what the team has accomplished. Over the past five years, OmniTRAX, Inc. has grown nearly 60% while attracting $5 billion of new companies to the rail network. The strategic additions of new railroads, ports, industrial parks, and partners position OmniTRAX well for sustained growth,” said OmniTRAX CEO Dean Piacente. “Our board has been invaluable to our continued network growth, and I’m excited to build on that momentum and provide Colby and the team with the resources to thrive.” During Piacente’s tenure, the company set records in safety, service, and achieved an operational efficiency best among peers while rivaling Class I performance. This week we celebrated James (Jim) Frawley 20-year anniversary with #OmniTRAX!

Jim began his railroading career with the Great Western Railway of Colorado (GWR), where he served as a Engineer, and Trainmaster. He later continued his journey at Panhandle Northern Railroad.
