It’s crazy to think what that image is going through from the menu board to the storage in your phone. I’m betting it’s an artifact created by the cars camera/software/hardware/display; that tech is likely the least refined of all the electronics working there.

I think it’s related to him thinking he’s been taking all the jokes and comments for a long time, it’s not going to get in his way.
