The Forum

Fostering bipartisan discussion is my aim. Creating a community of civil policy discourse beyond identity politics is my goal. Been described as "terminally polite".
Most importantly though, along the way I want to hear from you. I want to know what your thoughts are on the things I discuss. Genuinely. Because our government is too off balance when it's only standing on one leg. And I say it's high time we put both feet on the ground.

Thank you.

So I hope you guys stick with me until then. Because I have a lot interesting topics planned after that including discussions over potential impacts of Trump's tariff agenda, the pros and cons of EV manufacturing and sustainability efforts, and other policy measures as they evolve.

Finally, I want to do something different from other political podcasters. Instead of just critiquing the system or our leaders and saying, "Something has to change," I want to offer real tangible solutions. From the community level all the way up to the federal one.

From there I plan to talk about partisan polarization and how it's contributed to what some call "Policy Paralysis" where a good bill is left out to die simply because it was penned by the opposition party. I also talk a little bit about the history on how we got so polarized in the first place.

Bi-M-C-A does kinda have a nice ring to it

Frankly I never quite understood the need to further divide each other into boxes with labels. Lately most of my existential dread is actually tied up in the concerns over where this extreme tribalism is leading all of us.

Russia and North Korea are pretty much occupying the remainder of it.

I don't fault you for that. Everyone approaches SM in their own way. But my intention isn't to break apart marriages, I just want to debate policy and try to reach a pragmatic solution where everyone wins, and unintended harm is reduced as much as possible. Scout's honor. But I respect your choices.

...ourselves that the extremists are vocal, but still the minority. We don't have to suffer their abuses (that's why we have a block button after all) but I ask that we take a moment, every once in awhile, just to purposefully remind ourselves that they're not the majority. Even if it feels like it.

I had my identity leaked and was harassed repeatedly until the local police and my neighbors got involved. So I've been on the receiving end. And I'm sorry you've had a similar experience, that sounds utterly horrible. I truly am. After something like that it can be very difficult to remind...

I will do my best to cultivate an environment that is both thought provoking and engaging. I do ask though we don't call each other names, and I will ask the same of everyone equally. I know it's difficult (believe me, I do) to remain civil sometimes, but I ask that we at least try. Thank you.

In the meantime check out Flossin' on the Oregon Trail from my first album, "Buttered Cream". It's like Weird Al meets the Backstreet Boys. I absolutely loved writing it

I write all the music and use an AI program to "perform" it so to speak. If you like comedy pop, check me out on Spotify! Thanks!

There is. For example. The Trump administration set the stage for the suicide hotline (988) by making it a priority. Biden could have killed it to be petty, but instead he created the critical infrastructure needed for it to function. So it's possible. We just need try. And that's what I aim to do.

I did. It was fun. I went for comedy and had a blast writing it. But tbh, I don't know who you are so I don't even know if this is a joke or not. lol

The entire disability system needs to be restructured from the bottom up. Because you're right, one or two abuses to the system doesn't justify the dehumanizing process one has to go through just to get denied anyway. I can't even walk most days, but they still say my disease doesn't even exist.

Priest: They're going to make a musical about your life someday

Discourse is a two-way street after all. So, please, challenge me. There are very few things I am absolutely rigid on so I'm always seeking a persuasive argument.

My name is "The Forum" after all, I mean... I'm practically begging for it.

Thank you.
