Ugandan trans woman and refugee 🌍 survived Uganda’s anti-gay law + Kakuma camp in Kenya … now in Gorom settlement camp South Sudan , still fighting for queer safety & dignity 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️
Reading this… it hits me hard. Some countries get special deals, some people get treated differently, and here I am a trans refugee …just trying to get through each day.

Hurts to see how the powerful get special treatment… meanwhile I’m a trans refugee just trying to survive in a camp after fleeing for my life. Feels like justice is only for the privileged.

Sharing this because too many trans refugees live unseen. Every message and share helps.

It’s painful seeing people targeted for what they believe or who they are. I’m a trans refugee, and every day I face danger and struggle just to be safe. Thank you for shedding light on how power can crush voices…it’s something I know all too well

Thanks, I really needed to hear that. Sometimes it feels like the world just wants us to disappear for being who we are. Honestly, just being able to talk about it and have someone understand makes a big difference.🫂❤️

As a trans refugee, I know how hard it is to start over after persecution. Stories like this remind me how much even a little support can change a life. I hope this child gets the chance they deserve

It’s wild how some news blows up, while people like me…just trying to survive as a trans refugee struggle every day. Barely anyone notices, and it would mean so much if more people could see us

Wow, thank you for this. It means a lot to feel seen even just here 🫂

Honestly… it’s so exhausting how everyone just wants a story to fit their idea of what a ‘trans’ person is. I’m a trans woman, a refugee, just trying to get through each day, and seeing people make up stuff about us like this really hurts. Please… remember there’s a real life behind every label.

As a trans refugee, it’s exhausting to see us blamed for things we didn’t do. We’ve already faced so much danger and fear…please recognize where the real threats are.

Wow… watching this hit me hard. It’s crazy how some lives get all the attention, while others…like mine, as a trans refugee are barely seen. We’re just trying to survive, and even a little understanding or support can mean everything

Thank you all for reading this. Honestly, every day is a fight for me and my sisters…just to stay safe and have food. Sharing our story here feels scary but also a little hopeful, because it reminds me that people actually care ❤️🙏🏿

As a trans refugee living in Juba camp, seeing policies like this breaks me…it shows how much we’re still fighting for dignity everywhere. Grateful for everyone standing up for us. If anyone here is open, I’d love to share a bit of my journey too
