Ego is a very clever disguise, careful about which one you put on or you might even convince yourself!
A living thing can not be property, as it exists on the basis of its autonomous drive to survive and propagate. Further, the rights of living things should come before the right to property. Yes, there is fruit growing on your land, if the birds eat the fruit and disperse the seeds, you don't have

We need to make the cost of living $0, if people want to do extra things other than just live and be at peace maybe that should cost some money, it should not cost manmade currency to simply live.

Your life and the life of all living beings is something of infinite value. It is up to you to determine what you use that value for.

Keep in mind that people who tell you that your subjective interpretation of reality is invalid are doing so based on a subjective interpretation of reality, none of us get to experience reality objectively, even scientific conclusions are subjective interpretations of data, open to different ideas

Souls may wander
And wane
But they do not
Wander in vain

Their great deeds
Sow great seeds
Leaving all a memory
Though them we may not see,

Nor their words
Now hear
The souls fly like birds
While their memory is here.

You see more things online attributed to the Buddha online than things he actually said. Here's a link to an article of Buddha quotes that cites sources:

“It is in the nature of things that joy arises in a person free from remorse.” Siddhartha Gautama, Cetana Sutta

Luke 17:21
"Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you." Jesus of Nazareth

Some similarities between the messages of these two men.

Nonviolence is as much for you as it is other beings, to harm another is to harm yourself, and to harm yourself is to harm another.

Fear is the only thing that keeps you unfree. You may rationalize the fear, "if I do this, I will maybe suffer and die", but even suffering and dying are not worth being afraid of, and if you survive while afraid, you will perhaps never fully live.

To look at things in the world with desire will cause you suffering. For every thing you have in your life that you don't need, there is one thing you need that you don't have.

Bring harmony to your surroundings, you will have peace, but bring harmony to yourself and you will be peace.
April 14, 2025 at 4:21 AM
To make peace in the world, you have to make peace within yourself. To try to make peace by using force will only lead to more force used against you. If you stop reflecting suffering back onto others, their suffering will eventually stop reflecting onto you.

People will cite roads as a justification for government, in my country there are lots of roads meant for cars to travel on rather than pedestrians. In 2024 cars struck and killed 3304 or more people in the US. Instead of being designed for the taxpayers to be safe, they were built for convenience.

I once read a story about a Buddhist head monk and an army captain. The army captain was trying to force them to leave, saying, "You don't understand, I am the sort of man who can run you through with a sword and not bat an eye." The monk replied, "No, you don't understand, I am the sort..." CONT

If we are matter or energy, what composes us is not destroyed when we die. The matter and energy will be broken down and distributed through the living systems as long as there is life in existence. Life, made of matter and energy, is conserved.

The mental image we have of ourselves is not the same as our selves. When I say I am this or that, they are just clever disguises the Self puts on that have even fooled me. You can identify yourself with anything you want, but your Self that transcends identity may not be anything at all.

When you go to the beach and see the individual grains of sand, you experience them directly. Do you need to count them all individually in your language's numeric system to experience them all? The same applies to life. More time is spent measuring life than living it. It is enough to experience.

If you recognize that all are one, it is not "all are one but I am more one than those that disagree." You are one with those that disagree with you, if you think their beliefs and perspective are less true than your own, it is the same as saying yours are less true than theirs.
