Robespierre falls. The streets finally breathe.
The Terror ends, but I feel the vacuum it leaves.
France is free, but it is leaderless and still divided.
I watch this chaos and understand: liberty without order would not work.
If someone does not take command soon, the Republic will be gone.

The king is executed.
France crosses a line it cannot uncross.
From now on, power belongs to whoever controls the streets, the army and fear.
I do not know what to even think about it, it is unusual for me.

The monarchy collapses, and Paris celebrates.
I do not celebrate.
Removing a ruler is simple.
Holding a nation together without one is harder.

I read more papers than orders these days.
Every street has an opinion, every café a debate.
When fear disappears, respect follows.
I watch words weaken authority faster than any enemy army.

Written paragraphs multiply, opinions grow louder and authority must defend itself with ink.
When people stop fearing a ruler, his power fades quickly.
I see France slipping toward disorder.
This freedom of words won’t end in peace, it will demand someone who will take everything under the control.

I watch the king lose the respect of his people.
Censorship weakens, and words spread faster than armies.
Writers speak freely of politics and injustice, even mocking the king and his family.
The crown is no longer feared, only discussed…

It is difficult to defend a system in which the Third Estate, though the majority of the nation, is granted but a SINGLE vote.

The Third Estate labours in fields and workshops and yet bears the heaviest taxes.
Meanwhile, those of the First and Second Estates enjoy comfort and leisure.
Such an order cannot be called just!

I study battles and ideas.
Across the Atlantic, a new nation is born through revolution.
This is only the beginning.

As I study war and history, I follow the conflict in America.
Revolution is dangerous but it can reshape the world.
