Minnesotans embrace their Scandinavian and Viking heritage, which is quite different from folks in Ireland.

The most significant historic Viking heritage site ever found outside of Scandinavia is Woodquay in Dublin.

This skyway connecting Christ’s Church to the former Synod Hall that now houses Dublinia, the Viking History Museum of Dublin, was built in 1875 and is a heck of a lot more beautiful than the ones we see in downtown Minneapolis.

The Minnesota Vikings should be the official team of Ireland, shouldn’t they??

The NFL has made the Pittsburgh Steelers the unofficial team due to their Irish-American ownership. But take a peek inside Dublinia, the Viking history museum of Dublin, and you’ll notice a familiar purple and gold logo.

Lemuel’s, the bar inside the Conrad Hilton in Dublin, was named after the main character in Gulliver's Travels. And not too far away from here is MoLI, the Museum of Irish Literature, where you can learn about Gulliver’s Travels and more. Thanks again to Conrad Dublin for hosting my stay in Ireland!

Viking history is Irish history. Dublinia is a museum located in an 800 year old church that is dedicated to Viking and Medieval history in Dublin. Checking out this museum was a key part of my trip to Ireland!
