Sitting down on the couch, he calmly folded his arms. “I do hope you’ve learnt your lesson.”

“And you’re surprised by this? You held them prisoner and forced them to sleep with you, it’s a miracle you’re still able to talk about it.”

He pointed out, before pushing the food closer. “I oversaw the entire food preparation, relax.”

“No need to be dramatic, it’s been months since I got you away and I’m not one of your girlfriends.” He responded with a roll of his eyes as he got the maid to set down a proper meal.

He knows the things he’s done, but that doesn’t mean he wants to lose the only blood he’s got left!

How can she say that?! That’s the only biological family he’s got left!

Following the noises, he immediately dropped the blood stained cloth when he saw his dad lying on the floor.

“What have they done to you?” He asked immediately, getting down on his knees and taking out his phone to call for help.

Narrowing his eyes at her. “This is his blood, isn’t it? You’re killing him, the only biological family I have left, aren’t you?. Annie, you’re better than this . .”

Once he left the house, he got in his car and headed straight for the nearest bar. If he was losing her, he might as well drink himself into oblivion.

Taking the ring out of his pocket that he’d been carrying since before she went missing, he moved into the room and set it down beside her.

“Give this to him then, if he’s clearly what you want . .” He muttered with heartbreak in his voice, before he turned and walked calmly out of the house.

Following her up the stairs, he made sure to block the doorway with his body.

“Please don’t do this, baby. Don’t leave me, we can work through it. You know I’ll stay by your side…”

Frowning heavily, he tried to hold onto her. To keep her close where he knew she was safe and unharmed.

“You want me to kill him, is that it? He’s the only biological family I have left . .”

Shaking his head, he moved towards her and pulled her desperately into his arms. “No, no. I won’t lose you again, baby. We can get through this…”

Dragging his hands through his hair, he was silent for several moments as he tried to process this new development.

“How can you be sure it isn’t mine? Don’t you remember the night before you went missing? We went at it all night.”

That last comment caught him off guard, and he stumbled back against the wall.

At first, he was completely unsure of what to say, and he wasn’t even sure he’d heard her right. “He . . You . . Pregnant…?”

“This is not my fault, you’re home and you’re safe. But you won’t come back to me, you’re still letting him keep you prisoner, you won’t even let me touch you!”

“Dammit, Annie! No more!” He shouted without meaning to raise his voice, as he snatched the bottle away from her.

“Please stand up and come with me to the car, you need help.” He continued more calmly because he wanted her to feel safe.
