The systems like Glaze and Nightshade make AI processing of the image less efficient, not impossible.
This basically makes many training systems reject said image in favor of a more "cost effective" image to use for training.

The Glaze team has had several responses to articles like this and questions about Glaze/Nightshade, and while there are limitations to G/NS, it still provides a layer of protection for artists.
