I cannot begin to describe how much this guy sucks. Why does he want to ruin everything so bad?

It’s interesting the amount of additional work in policies/procedures/checks we implement to make sure that AI is correctly conducting X function meant to save us time and energy.

Also interested in how common issues of misdiagnosis due to the narrow training happen. Like the staple “hemorrhages.”

And at what point does another AI module begin creating the “whole picture” out of the myriad individual models’ answers? What additional errors will that cause?

I assumed that AI models likely struggled with any variance from “perfect” images but hadn’t had that confirmed.

This was enlightening! It will be interesting to see to what extent Jevons paradox will play out here.

I’ve read a lot over the last few years about how AI will replace radiologists. When delving into why it hasn’t happened yet, I mostly found reasons like “they’re too rich and have too much voice to lose their jobs,” which I suppose is also a component, but never felt was the bulk.

Ha…trickle down…sadistic idea just won’t go away will it?

But yes, creating a underclass is definitely the goal. Gives those above just enough power to distract them from being absolutely bilked

What blows my mind about the alt right is that it’s less about the total power they can accumulate and exercise collectively across all domains (world, economic, soft, military, tech) and more about how much they get to individually exercise, even if overall, they become weaker. Control is maybe it.

Pair this with the polarization occurring through physically moving and things get even more dire. And I get it, my family is considering moving due to politics because it is having a tangible effect on our public schools.
