Well Microsoft stopped supporting on premise Exchange so you wouldn’t have security updates. But besides that, firewall with strict rules, lock down the ports etc but it really depends on the use case of the mail server and where you have it physically located (residential/commercial etc)

For sure. The only thing I’d worry about is having IT security specialists analyzing ICS/SCADA systems. I am not sure public sector entities have those kind of resources lol. They are hard to come by.

Ok that’s good they are doing the assessments, hopefully at no cost since the resources are internal, but are they acting on these assessments or are they just doing them to “check the box” of having an assessment done?
